What to expect on your first visit to the chiropractorIn serving our chiropractic patients and our community in Reno - Sparks, Nevada, Family First Chiropractic provides quality chiropractic care in a caring atmosphere. We recognize that each patient has unique health needs and goals. Family First Chiropractic is a leader in innovative health care solutions and it is our honor and pleasure to serve you -- our only focus is to help our patients find the path to self-healing that chiropractic care provides.On your first day we will perform an examination and take your initial X-rays. You will not receive your first adjustment today (except in some emergency cases). This day is part of the "information gathering" that is necessary to give you the highest quality of care. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions as we complete today's procedures. After completing your "Confidential History" form, we will do a complete spinal evaluaton where we assess your current spinal condition. If necessary, we will take preliminary x-rays. Next, we will schedle your second visit, which will be at least 2 hours long. Please be sure you allow enough time. We prefer to schedule you within the next couple of days, so you can begin experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care as soon as possible! Your second Day will consist of additional exam work, completion of the X-ray series, and your first adjustment. After concluding your X-rays there will be a meeting with your doctor for a complete report of findings, including a full explanation of what chiropractic is and how it can benefit you and your family. An analysis of your exam and x-ray findings and a recommended care plan based on your healthcare goals will be discussed. Then you will be adjusted, followed by a 45-minute rest in our resting booths, after which time we will schedule the recommended follow-up appointments and an affordable payment plan suited to your financial situation. Follow up visits may be anywhere from 5 to 25 minutes depending on whether you need a rest period after your adjustment. Periodic re-evaluations will be performed to assess your progress; health plans will be updated.
